How is page order decided?
Pages are merged in the order the files are listed. Remove a file with the ✕ button to change the set, then merge again. Encrypted PDFs may not be readable and will show an error.
Does merging change the page content?
No. Pages are concatenated in the order listed; text, images, and bookmarks are preserved. The merged file is simply the sources stitched together.
Why will an encrypted PDF not merge?
Encrypted PDFs block programmatic access until unlocked with the password. Decrypt it with the owner’s permission first, then merge.
