Rendered page images will appear here.

What does "render" mean here?

Each PDF page is painted onto a canvas at the scale you choose, then exported as a PNG. The result is a flat image of the page — text is no longer selectable, but the picture is portable and easy to share. Higher scale means sharper (and larger) images.

What image format should I export PDF pages to?

PNG for crisp text and slides, JPEG for photo-heavy pages where size matters. Higher DPI yields sharper images but larger files — 150 DPI suits most screen uses.

Why convert PDF pages to images at all?

Images drop into slides, docs, and CMS editors that cannot embed PDFs cleanly, and let you crop or annotate a single page. It is a one-way extract — the text is no longer selectable.
